Portrait Paintings

floral-divider-grey_edited.jpg

Highly detailed photorealistic pet and floral portraits. "Capturing the unique energy, essence and spirit of each animal or flower I paint, is the center of my work." Often times, these portraits are isolated on seamless white backgrounds, to draw focus and concentration to the essential characteristics that matter most.

Whenever possible, although not necessary, I work from my own photography. Taking time to get to know the true essence and unique personality within each subject helps to bring the painting to life. Clients often schedule a photo shoot just for this purpose.

With each commissioned work I dedicate time to discuss painting style, size, composition and framing, this is part of your complimentary consultation.  Once your painting is complete you may also enjoy many reproduction ideas like stationary, cards, prints and so much more.

And don't forget to check out hand-painted ornaments, a perfect gift for yourself, family and friends, any time of year!

"Julie, the three beautiful botanical prints hang proudly in my home. These prints have such great attention to detail that I sometimes think I can smell the scents from the flowers.  I have collected botanicals my entire life and hold these as the most beautiful in my collection."
